President Arif Alvi dissolved National Assembly of Pakistan

The President's Secretariat reports that Dr. Arif Alvi approved the prime minister's recommendation to dissolve Pakistan's National Assembly under Article 58 (1) and Article 48 (1) of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
According to Article 58, Prime Minister cannot dissolve the National Assembly until a no-confidence motion is decided against the chief executive.
In addition, Qasim Suri, the Deputy Speaker of National Assembly threw out today's no-confidence resolution against Prime Minister Imran Khan before it could be voted upon. He called it a violation of Article 5 of the Constitution, which stipulated that loyalty to the state is the primary duty of every citizen.
