Authorities to Suspend Internet and Broadband Services Tonight
Authorities will suspend internet and broadband services in major cities, including Islamabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan, and Gujranwala, starting at midnight. They are taking this step to enhance security ahead of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest scheduled for November 24.
For now, mobile phone services will stay operational, but officials will monitor the situation and decide later if these services also need to be suspended.
Interior Ministry has instructed Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to implement the internet suspension. PTA confirmed receiving these orders yesterday and is preparing to enforce them tonight.
