MDCAT Fee Increased for Entrance to MBBS, BDS Programs

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has announced a significant 33% increase in the entrance test fees for MBBS and BDS programs. The fee for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) has been raised from Rs6,000 to Rs8,000. This year, over 200,000 candidates from across the country are expected to take the MDCAT. With the increased fees, PMDC is projected to collect more than Rs1.6 billion from registrations. Additionally, the registration fee for international students taking the MDCAT will be Rs40,000. A boy from Lahore makes the nation proud in the field of medical science. Hafiz Muhammad Waleed Malik won 29 medals (27 gold, 2 silver) in the 5 years of education. He dedicated this achievement to his parents and the nation. Dr. Hafiz Waleed Malik of Ameeruddin Medical College (AMC) affiliated with Lahore General Hospital has set a new record by winning 29 medals in different disciplines in the final MBBS exam making it the first example in the country’s medical education history.
