Earthquake Jolts Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Swat and Adjacent Areas
On Saturday, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Swat district and nearby areas experienced a noticeable earthquake. The tremor, measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale, shook Mingora and its surroundings.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department reported that the earthquake originated 200 kilometers underground, with its epicenter near the Tajikistan border. Despite the earthquake's magnitude, people have not reported any casualties or property damage from the affected areas.
After the tremor, many residents fled their homes in panic and began reciting verses from the Holy Quran. Emergency services and local authorities have found no reports of injuries or damage from the capital or neighboring regions.
