Sindh abolished PhD requirement for appointing VCs
Vice Chancellors (VCs) of Sindh Universities are being considered for significant changes by the government. Possibly, Sindh government will abolish the requirement of a PhD degree and 15 research papers for vice chancellors' appointments in the province's universities. Sindh is also considering lowering the age limit for VCs from 65 to 62.
Furthermore, civil servants, college teachers, officers of grade 17 or above of private or public institutions may also apply for the position of vice chancellor. It would be necessary for them to have 20 years of experience, including 10 years of administrative experience.
