Russia Launches Largest Drone Attack on Ukraine
Russia launched its largest drone attack of the war against Ukraine, deploying more than 200 drones in an overnight assault. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy condemned the attack, calling it “aerial terror” and urging unity among Ukraine’s allies.
“Every day, our people stand against aerial terror,” Zelenskiy wrote on X. He revealed that Russia launched 267 attack drones, marking the largest assault since Iranian drones began targeting Ukrainian cities and villages.
Ukraine’s air force reported that it shot down 138 drones, while another 119 disappeared from radars after being jammed by electronic warfare. Russian forces also fired three ballistic missiles, causing damage in five Ukrainian regions.
