TikTok Releases the First Album of Viral Hits
Some of TikTok most popular viral hits have been given the full orchestral treatment and will be released on CD and vinyl this summer, the platform announced Friday. Six full length songs will be releases on July 8. TikTok is a video-sharing app that allows users to make and share 15-second videos on any subject. It has a separate app called Duyin for the Chinese market, which has over 300 million active monthly users. The new app's logo combines elements of the Musical.ly and Duyin logos.
The collaboration with Warner Classics marks TikTok's first venture into the traditional music business. The 18 songs will be available on streaming platforms as well as in record stores. On the other hand, It will also attract a new sort of audience to the platform.
