Ahsan Ramzan won the Asian U21 Snooker Championship
Ahsan Ramzan, a 17-year-old cueist from Pakistan, has won the Asian U21 Snooker Championship. The tournament was held in Tehran, Iran, from June 19-24, 2023. Ramzan defeated Iran's Milad Pourali Darehchi in the final, 5-2.
Ramzan is the first Pakistani to win the Asian U21 Snooker Championship. He is also the reigning IBSF World Snooker Champion, which he won in March 2023.
In the final, Ramzan took a commanding lead, winning the first four frames. Darehchi won the next two frames, but Ramzan closed out the match with a 101-27 victory in the seventh frame.
Ramzan's victory is a major achievement for Pakistan snooker. It is the first time that a Pakistani has won an Asian U21 Snooker Championship, and it comes just months after Ramzan won the IBSF World Snooker Championship.
